Fountain in Front of the Mahmal
Entrance
It is a geometricallyshaped fountain
located in the northern part of the garden consisting of 16 sides with statues of mermaids
carrying fishes and water is flowing from their mouths. Lotus used to grow in the fountain
water, which hosted a very beautiful collection of colored fish.

Northern and Southern Towers of the
Flags
Both towers were devoted for flag erection at the
entrance of the palace. The southern tower was assigned for the state flag while the
northern was dedicated for the flag of the head of state.

Mohammed Korayeem Mosque
The mosque was built in perpetuation of
Mohammed Korayeem, a prominent figure of the Egyptian resistance who was killed by the
French campaign forces. He was shot to death in 5/9/1798 when he refused to terminate the
popular resistance.The mosque consists of three sections: the center, eastern and western
sides. It is lavishly decorated with verses of the holy Quran and other Islamic
adornments. Marble is used for walls mixing Memluke and Andalusian style in the mosque.

Southern Facade of the Palace
It is the façade overlooking Alexandria port
equipped with the anchorage that serves the palace. The façade is towering over the
garden, which is cultivated with rare plants. A railway station that hosts the royal train
is also located in the southern side.
