President Mubarak met with Bahrain’s King Hamad Bin Eassa A`al Khalifa during his two day visit to Egypt when they discussed the Iraqi issue and the potentials of a peaceful settlement, developments of the situation in Palestine, arrangements of the upcoming Arab summit to be held in Bahrain and the enhancement of bilateral relations.

President Mubarak received visiting German Foreign Minister Yoschka Fischer who arrived in Cairo from Ankara on a one-day visit to Egypt. Fischer's visit comes as part of a tour of the region, to include Jordan and Saudi Arabia, for talks on implementing UN Security Council resolution 1441 and means of averting a looming war on Iraq.
