President Mubarak held talks with Sultan Qabous Bin Said of Oman who arrived to Sharm El Sheikh resort for a few day- visit to Egypt. Both leaders focused in their discussions on the deteriorating situation in the occupied territories of Palestine.

President Mubarak held an amicable meeting with Alexandria university students at the Conference Hall. Mubarak highlighted several points in his speech mainly calling on the USA to take a clear position towards the peace process.

President Mubarak received Syrian Foreign Minister Mr. Farouk Al- Shara`a who participated in the meetings of Arab foreign ministers.

President Mubarak met with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat to discuss the potential political movements necessary to support the Palestinian position and provide international protection against Israeli aggression.
